For the second consecutive year, Casa Amarás received the HRC Equidad Mx certification from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC @humanrightscampaign ) as one of the best companies with LGBT+ labor inclusion in 2022.

But what is HRC Equidad MX? It is a program of HRC, a US-based organization with several global alliances designed to promote the inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) people in the workplace. Following the success of HRC’s US Corporate Equality Index (the leading national benchmarking tool for LGBTQ+ inclusion practices and policies), the HRC Foundation partnered with ADIL Diversidad e Inclusión Laboral in 2016 to establish the HRC Equidad MX program as the leading corporate-level LGBTQ+ inclusion assessment in Mexico.

This program conducts an annual survey that evaluates LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplaces of major Mexican and multinational companies and, based on the results, awards the “Best LGBTQ+ Places to Work” distinction. This means that our actions, our attitude, and our daily effort make this a free, comfortable, but above all, safe environment for all of us. It is an indicator of the organization’s commitment to LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, and is measured in the following areas:

• Non-Discrimination/Equal Employment Opportunity Policies are shown to expressly list the terms “Sexual Orientation” and “Gender Identity” or “Gender Identity and Gender Expression.”

• LGBTQ+ Organizational Competency . The workplace is shown to have a Diversity and Inclusion Council. It meets regularly, formally, and in a structured manner to address the situations and needs of LGBTQ+ people and other specific populations.

• Public Commitment . It is demonstrated that the labor entity carries out actions that positively impact society on LGBTQ+ issues, understanding that they are directed at people other than the labor entity's own collaborators.
